Geriatrix (jerry-atriks)
Geriatrix is the Gnomish god of old age, wisdom and hard-won experience. He is the protector of the oldest of Gnomes, especially those that are marginalized by infirmity or isolation from their kin. He is depicted as a stooped and very aged humanoid with a great white beard and thinning hair, but maintaining a hidden strength that belies that age. He is always shown as stooped and bent, but also with marked indicators of great strength and ability (heavily muscled, attentive eyes, firm grip and a steady gait).
Another name he is sometimes called is "the Father of Common Sense" and he is typically shown with a heavy or stout sheppard's crook to symolize his willingness to lead his followers to the best places to be. He is shown with huge ears, large intense eyes, and a perpetually closed and unsmiling mouth. This is thought to be to show the value of listening and observing often and speaking rarely.
