Gaeta (gay-tah)
Gaeta is the All Mother of the Pantheon of Heaven faith. With her divine husband, Ayunis, she brought all the gods of the Pantheon into being. She herself was fashioned from the remains of a race of primordial dragons that Ayunis had defeated, and as such hers was the form that birthed the rest of the Pantheon.
Divine Domains
Goddess of the earth, nature and motherhood. Wife to Ayunis, and mother to most of the rest of the pantheon. She is often seen as a protective mother, a caring healer and a vengeful lover when slighted. Her cults are some of the most numerous and influential in all the faith.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Most often symbolized by the image of the moon in varying stages and she is identified very closely with all the cycles of life and death in the world. Followers of Gaeta prefer the lunar calendars for calculating holy day celebrations and rememberances, and many of the most important holy days of her calendar are associated with lunar eclipses.
Holidays
Every full moon is a holy night dedicated to Gaeta, and lunar eclipses are espacially holy in her regard. Oracles and temples dedicated to Gaeta will hold solemn vigils in anticipation for the lunar eclipses in her honor.
