Belen am Lomanni (bel-len)
Sir Belen am Lomanni
Belen am Lomanni was the son of Ansel am Lomanni and the brother of Alain am Lomanni and Lomain am Lomanni.
Belen was a knight fighting with the Imessian Army that invaded Cobal in 215 AF. His company was one of the first to cross the Manisar River and march towards Selimar where the attack on the city was stopped cold. When news reached his commander that the beachhead where the boats and supplies had been left guarded by only a dozen men had been taken and everything was burnt or destroyed, the Company Commander flew into a panic. Belen was ordered to ride with all speed back to the river crossing to see if he could find someone still in command there who'd know what to do.
Belen arrived back at the crossing point to find every Imessian dead and all but two small river barges burnt and sunk. While searching for survivors amongst the dead, the lead elements of the other units that had been dispatched to the Stomar Gate rode into the destoryed camp, and Belen was made aware of just how desperate the situation was.
Over the course of the rest of the general retreat, Belen became quite close to a Captain of Lancers from the City of Scaram named Oswyn am Bimmin, whom he called "Ozzie". At the Battle of Smallford Crossing, both Belen and Ozzie were killed while fighting off a charge of Cobal Dragoons from Elimar. Belens body was recovered six years later by his youngest brother, Lomain and his remains were buried with his family in the City of Southridge.
