Zeal is a tall, slender but physically powerful tiefling with a build that might be described as "snakelike". He has dark grey skin, a long neck and an angular aristocratic face with hypnotic ruby eyes that glow gently in darkness. His hair, soot coloured with hints of red and grey, is long enough to conceal his forehead and a small pair of horns. Zeal's most obviously fiendish feature is actually his tail: a four foot long onyx coloured appendage that curls unconsciously around his ankles when he speaks. His face is smooth, bearing no signs of age, and he seems to exude an unnatural vitality.   He favours dark colours: his well made splint mail is raven coloured with occasional details like runes picked out in infernal oranges and reds. A matching helmet completes the set, while a dark red cloak can be drawn about him to hide his features when needed. Zeal's weapon of choice is a bastard sword made of an orange-brown metal and inscribed with four sets of infernal runes. The fel-iron blade is deceptively heavy for its size, needing two hands to really wield effectively.   Despite his appearance, Zeal has a soft voice and a gentle, civilised demeanour. He is quick to smile, from a slight upward quirk of the lip to a full fangs-bared grin. This pleasant, placid cool is tightly controlled, yanked aside only rarely to offer a fleeting glimpse into Zeal's inner world: flashes of a desperate, agonising fear which is terrible to behold.

Trivia:

Zeal has revealed that his family are in the Nine Hells as 'collateral', the result of a deal made by an ancestor. Zeal believes this ancestor is still alive in the world somewhere, given that the deal hasn't yet come to an end.

Contacts:

Zeal has mentioned that he works for a pit fiend named Jalaarl.

Gear:

Zeal's Sword

Greatsword, rare, requires attunement.   This weapon is made of infernal iron, dark and jagged to the touch. Four fiery runes glow softly along the blade. It is slightly shorter than a regular greatsword, but dense and weighty enough to pack the same punch.   Effects:
  • Each time the sword connects with an enemy a rune appears to light up, but Zeal has yet to reveal or demonstrate what this means...
