Little magic

Science tells us that there are tiny particles everywhere, atoms full of energy that when split can cause devastation for miles around. It tells us that a great amount of energy is needed to do this, that it is difficult to do.
They are right, but as always this isn't the whole story. Some Magic Users are able to access the energy held in these tiny molecules and use it for great and terrible spells. The balance is achieved through the caster using their energy to manipulate the atoms. 
This type of magic can be used to do many things including changing the nature of objects and, most students favourite, creating fire out of thin air. However, if used carelessly or malicously it has potential for great destruction.
