Demographics

The entire village is Human, the only Magic Users in the village as far as is known is the family at Blackthorn House who built the village. 
However in the past there have been other Magic Users in the village, they just didn't stay for long. 

In the woods and streams there are many nymphs who call the area home.

Government

The land the village is built on belongs to the Moonbeam Family as it is built on the land of the Blackthorn House estate, for this reason each household pays their rent to this family and they look after the houses.

Industry & Trade

Most of the villagers work in the town or work from home. Travelling out of the village can be very difficult when it is snowy, most employers understand that there will be difficulties but this hardship has caused many to leave the village to seek easier employment.

Infrastructure

The village has a small nursery and primary school. As well as a church and a village hall where numerous events are held.
The village is only accessible by a narrow road but there is a bus service into town that runs every hour between seven in the morning and seven at night, to get in or out of the village outside of these times you either have to have to have your own car or hire a taxi.

Points of interest

The village is surrounded on three sides by tall hills, the access road runs between two hills at one end and Blackthorn House is built at the other meaning that anyone who wants to visit the house has to pass through the village. 

Mrs Thomas lives in the first house along the access road to the village so any visitors will pass by her house. She enjoys this because it means that she knows almost everything that happens in the village.
