Because of the chaos that appeared in the world, the mortals were given magic to help themselves. Unfortunately, power can be corrupted and twisted when those who use it mean harm. A rift was caused between those who used magic for good and for bad and a war broke out. It also created the opportunity for the fiends to gain more souls.
