Gavida/ Goibniu
God of smithing and hospitality
Gavida, or Goibniu (pronounced Govjnju), is the main god of smiths and skilled in both fine craftsmanships for jewellery and the manufacturing of weapons. Many of the gods' weapons were made by him and he also crafted Nuada's silver arm after the original was lost in battle.
Gavida doubles as the god of hospitality as he is the one to often organise the feasts for gatherings of the gods which are most consistently held at Manannán's, the sea god's, place.

Physical Description

Goibniu is small among the other gods but his build is as solid as a rock with extremely well-developed muscles as hart as the steal he forges. He has long dreadlocks reaching his shoulderblades bound back in a ponytail and a voluminous but well-kept beard.
Social
Family Ties
Gavida is the son of Esarg, the thrower of axes, and the brother of Dian Cecht, the physician, and Nuada. At one point he was married but his wife, whose name has been lost to time, died and was buried in a cave.
The smithing god is also the co-foster-parent of Lugh, the god of art, with Manannán mac Lir.
