Training Ground RL-253

Virtual Universes can be used to simulate military training. Training Ground RL-253 is one such location designed to provide Hyperion Flash Troopers with invaluable trainig. Training in a virtual universe was advantageous as it allows both sides to use live ammunition and actually kill people without leading to any real deaths (anyone that dies in a virtual universe just wake up in the real world) Training Ground RL-253 is set within a large desert with several features such as mountains and chasms. Most of it is flat, however, leading to many tank battles. Air support is also common.
The candidates to be trained are always on the same side, BLUFOR (Blue Forces). OPFOR (Opposition Forces) are not controlled by anyone other than AIs. While BLUFOR is often better equipped, OPFOR is almost always victorious. They utilise their equipment and knowlege of terrain extremely well. There have been times where BLUFOR won, however. This has been done intentionially because people tend to learn from their mistakes better than if they win.
