Slow Curse

A magical curse that can be given to any biological entity that slows it down. Magic only exists on Mauray. The affected person is 30% slower initially. The curse will wear off linearly over time eventually reaching 0% after 2 hours.

Transmission & Vectors

Anyone with sufficient mana can fire a projectile that does not harm the target, but delivers the curse.

Symptoms

Affected people cannot move rapidly as a magical force resists all strong movement.

History

The curse was discovered by an Eptha, exploring. It has been a very useful spell to the explorer since, slowing any hostiles before they can come close. The next species to learn this power was the Elves. Because elves cant fly, the spell helped them more than the eptha. From there, its existance became obvious to every species. In current times, it is taught in every magic school on the planet.
