Jump Drive
The Jump Drive is an advanced type of FTL drive used by the Karnol Caretakers.
Unlike any conventional types of superluminal travel, the Jump Drive functions via probability and random chance more than 'reliable', consistent technologies. It acts more similar to an IGWD, but has a smaller power requirement, shorter range and larger probability area. After selecting a destination, it will calculate the probabilities of landing in any given location nearby (within the 'probability bubble'). The highest probability is located close to the destination, and reduces exponentially with distance. As such, there is no location with exactly 0 probability, but these extreme possibilities are ignored; the ship has a 100% chance to land inside the probability bubble according to any reasonable calculations.
However, it has advantages over the HF's IGWD. It can be placed on smaller ships due to its lower power requirement, and ships do not have to be warped in together as whole fleets. This allows the KC to spread their forces over a front as they enter another galaxy, but having to reorganise their fleets after such an operation. This means that any fleets to be deployed should probably be protected by an organised force that is already present, however this is not always possible especially for an initial landing force against a galaxy. As such it is very difficult for the KC to attack enemy galaxies that may be well protected.
