Doom - Class Subterrene

A Subterrene of the Accuilax Purifiers.
The doom class is a medium subterrene. Although its crush depth is shallow (it is not capable of reaching the mantle), it is surprisingly difficult to detect for a subterrene. This is because it is carefully designed to be muffled underground, emitting the lowest noise possible.
It does however, have a large drill mounted to the front. Its intended role is to surface under enemy forces and obliterate them with the drill. It also has several short range plasma cutters to strike other nearby surface vehicles. These are also used to melt rock in front of it into magma while underground.
This does expose it to surface fire however, so it is not always done. Several retractable sonic cannon turrets were added. To preserve the streamline design, the sonic cannons are only used when performing underground bombardment. Using them increases the noise emitted and makes it easier to find. Few subterrenes can survive subterranean torpedo hits. These are often also used when on the surface because the extra sonic signature doesnt matter as much because it is obvious anyway.
These were designed to fill a requirement for a vehicle that can strike the enemy from an unexpected direction and chew them apart in melee combat.
