General Summary

Miss Linda Wright has traveled far from her home in Winterhaven to Athias to take over the family business, the Twin Oaks Mining Company, after the passing of her dear, great step-uncle Larry (may he rest in peace). Arriving at the mine site, Linda begins her mining education when she meets Leo McIntosh. Leo leads her on a brief tour and takes her to meet the mine foreman Cave Loring. Cave shows her to her quarters and after an explosion, we meet Floss Va'laal, a warforged with memory issues and a calming demeanor.
They take the two explosion survivors to meet "Doctor" Chapman for amputations and then Leo continues the tour and reports the conditions at the mine.
