Ts'quali

Ts'quali is a renown tropical resort planet found in the Northen sector of the Therea Galaxy, not too far from the planet Paxilion and some distance above the planet Ixion.

Geography

Several hundred years ago, Ts’quali was once an ocean planet before it was terraformed to be a suitable vacation spot by a group of scientists and engineers. It now has islands of various shapes and sizes. Three of the biggest islands became the main continents with the capital of Lyricone connecting them together in the middle. The other smaller islands are either private estates brought by investors or off limits research centers. All islands are tropical in nature, but most biodiversity occupies the Great Ocean due to the planet being originally oceanic.

Fauna & Flora

Although not as diverse as the Great Ocean, all islands has some form of animals and vegetation. Small raptor-like birds are most prominent on all landmasses and they come in various shapes and sizes. 
The biggest ones reaches most species knees (mostly humans as they are the majority in the workforce) and aren’t considered dangerous. Funny enough, all raptor species are shy and stay out of the way of both guests and inhabitants.

History

The decision to terraform the planet was founded by not one, but a collective group of human, Nirien and Avarian scientists and engineers. A few didn’t live long enough to see the finished resort, but statues risen in their honor can be found in the capital and they were given the name “The Firsts”. The planet also has outside investors, mostly from the planets Paxilion and Ixion.

Culture

Due to the majority of the inhabitants being the descendants of The Firsts; human, avarian and nirien culture combined together and became one over generations of people living and thriving together while working on the planet. This can be seen in, for example, with the revealing dress code amongst staff and personal, although Ts’quali’s hot temperature plays a part in it too. Employment outside the planet has become much more common in the last few decades as well, to help accommodate more guests' needs.
Ts’quali’s capital is named Lyricone, named after one of The Firsts and is described like a “crown” by the local workers. It’s a massive, high technological tower-like city that reaches high in the sky and can be visible in the distance no matter what continent you are visiting. With enormous pillars holding the city up above the ocean, they also work as water stations, transporting the ocean water up in tunnels for boiling and filtering, thus getting an endless supply of fresh water.
The capital is also the only big city on the planet, as hotels and smaller towns are spread out across the continents to better preserve the natural look of the resort. Lyricone does have hotels and suitable entertainment for guests, with bars, shopping malls, cafés and many other facilities but the capital is where the majority of the workers live and thrive.

Government

Due to the workforce focus, since the planet is a massive tourism business, the Government is structured and ruled by a Council that has representatives of every work category. This ensures no position is left to be either neglected or unnecessarily powerful and everyone has a say in the matter. It’s democracy at its finest.

Interspecies relations

Seeing as their guests come far and wide across the galaxy, Ts'quali has good relations with most other planets. The planet has high standards for security to keep guests safe and inline. The planet allows all species to visit as long as they can behave, even Aarakans. Although they are put through long investigations and interviews, which most fail or flat out refuse to do, denying them access. Only a handful of Aarakans have stayed as guests.
