Ashfall

Home base of the Heirs of Arson, named by Arson himself to remind himself why he's there, so secluded from everyone else.

Purpose / Function

Arson built the keep to live in solitude and safety away from everyone. It has sturdy walls, room for farming and pastures for grazing.

Design

The stone of every part of the castle is gray, the hallways are rectangular with half circle rooftops. The rooms are square, with triangle rooftops and spiral staircases leading up to the them.

Entries

The only way to enter Ashfall is through the front gate, it lies in the entry point of a valley surrounded by sharp cliff faces.

Sensory & Appearance

Walking in the entryway, one of the first things you'll see is the lamps. Arson commissioned or crafted the lamps from his own likeness. In his eyes are little hands reaching out, so when the light is lit it looks like children reaching out for help. Not to far off can you hear swords swinging against metal and thumping against wood. The Heirs are keeping their skills up to par and reliving their glory days sparring with each other. You can hear birds perched up on the rooftops huddled around each other. By the time you get to the exit outside you can smell the lake and the grass, possibly the meat cooking if its late enough.

Contents & Furnishings

Plenty of weapons everywhere, armor perched on stands perfectly polished as if it were about to jump down and greet you. Couches and chairs filled with bird feathers, wool and fur. Trophies of animals and defeated foes, parchments from bards who created ballads for the different heroes residing there.

Architecture

Ashfall is made from stone and wood, the walls are plain mostly. The decorations are all trophies from hunts and battles that Arson and his heirs have conquered over the years.
