The Second Cascade

The second cascade was caused by the destruction of the Afidorei Mana Factory, tearing the veil across the whole city, dragging the Aether into the real world. This caused a reality cascade making the veil fold to repair itself on the city. Mana flowed into Thera allowing for magic use by others than elves, some animals were caught in the veil & Corrupted them, the moon would turn blue once every decade causing a Blue Moon and Afidorei along with the surrounding cities resemble the Aether in it's grey, lifeless form. This became known as the Zero Point irradiated with impure mana causing Eldritch Sickness to any non-eldritch creature that steps foot there. In the end the second cascade ended up weakening the veil by spreading itself thin, giving way to lesser horrors to escape every whole moon, and some greater horrors to escape every blue moon.
