Blue Moon

Starting from The Second Cascade once every decade the moon would turn blue, which had the effect of weakening the veil allowing for many lesser horrors and few greater horrors to escape. This effect is caused by the alignment of the moon in Thera and the moon in Aether. This alignment energizes the mana of the Aether giving more power to the eldritch beings, allowing them to pierce the veil.
