"Dra-" and the "-Gon" Suffix

I don't like the gendered way so many words in english end with "-man" and it's even more intrusive when I can't stop thinking that a man is a hu-man. So I've replaced the "-man" suffix with a "-gon" suffix. A fireman is now a firegon. For pluralization, I'll use the "-s" suffix, so that firemen are now firegons. I've also appended 'gon' to some things that didn't originally have it, so that for instance "potters" are now "pottergons".   This extends to some other contexts than professional as well, so that very muddy dragons are mudgons. If someone were complaining that the dragons of Denxalue do nothing all day but lounge in mud (inaccurate, but a vicious stereotype of the theome), they'd call them mudgons rather than dragons as they say it. Which they do. It's persistent. @Lauvera even kind of likes that the stereotype is so strong.   Relatedly, in this setting a "Dra-" is just a generic person, so that they're "dragons" as in their most generic identifier is "dra-" rather than professional.
