Ledian

Lost to Time

Ledians once stood as the wardens of Heima, fighting as Deja's Firelords and battling the neverending threat of the Frigid Legion. The time came, however, for a final, fateful battle between the dwindling Ledian forces and the ever-growing legions of winter. As Deja and Firelord Jandar'iethar created Northern Wards that have kept Zima and her forces trapped ever since, a majority of the Ledian population were trapped alongside their enemies, fighting to their glorious ends. Those few who remained behind in Ortheid were instructed to flee south, as their homeland would soon freeze over while Deja was weakened from her magical feat. As a result, the Ledian people began to disperse and intermarry with other groups of humans and elves and dwarves, with generation after generation forgetting more and more of their golden history. The final Ledian elf was born to his elven father and human mother who could not care for the child, choosing to leave him under the care of a kind farmer in the small village of Elleshire. This elf would be named Elorin, and he would go on to father a new generation of Ledian Elves after his time with The Chain. Thanks to the hero, and his efforts to free Deja from her self-imposed hibernation, the Ledian People may once again build themselves up from nothing, making a name for themselves in the new Age.

Deja's Blessing

The more Ledian blood an elf as in their veins, the closer they become in appearance to the Ledian Elves of old. While all descendants of the bloodline maintain their black hair and oddly human facial features, those who are of Elorin's direct descent or are born underneath Deja's Peak in Snowhawk can naturally attain the smoldering irises of their ancestors. Thanks to their fiery appearance and lack of pupils, these eyes are quite similar to those of tieflings, but shift slightly, as if the eyes themselves are firepits still warm with light.
