Descended from Avernus
At some point during Zero Year, the forces of the Nine Hells stirred. When Khoran had risen to his station as the King of the Heavens, all the powerful rulers of the planes were involved at some point. Khoran’s rise represented change to the status quo and a return to the authority of godly figures instead of the many deals and agreements for equality that had been established by the previous pantheon. However, none were quite ready at the time to stand up to the incursion, and thus they had to build up their strength. It wasn’t until a thousand years later that the forces of Hell were ready to fight back. This rebellion against the new Stormlord was destined for failure. Khoran learned of the growing threat and wasted no time before acting. He took his strongest men, who would be known as the Stormguard from this day on, and razed Avernus utterly. His ferocity was so extreme that there is still a part of the First Hell that is inhabitable to devils and demons alike, smoldering with his power made physical in the form of a lightning storm. He took Asariel, the Archdevil of Avernus at that time, and purified her, literally burning away her fiendish corruption and leaving her a celestial once more. Together, they retreated back to Voletaria where she would serve as one of his Stormguard for all time, leaving the rest of the devils to rebuild Avernus in their defeat. The Nine Hells and their Archdevils have not attempted to undermine Khoran since.Golden Tieflings
Asariel’s tiefling offspring were affected by her purification as well, losing their fiendish red skin, instead becoming a pure white. Their hair and eyes took on a golden coloration, and their descendants began growing 2 sets of horns from that day on. Though they were not persecuted by Draica thanks to Emperor Xarkanas's good nature, many of the bitter devil lords in the hells sent their agents to harass them and chase them from the southern empire. As a result, though some do remain behind in Draica to this day, a majority of those not adventuring the world have settled in Voletaria, establishing a shrine to Asariel near the Stormdrake Palace and have continued living a normal life in the holy city.

Ability Score Increase Your Charisma score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1. Legacy of Asariel You know the word of radiance cantrip. When you reach 3rd level, you can cast the divine favor spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. When you reach 5th level, you can cast the spiritual weapon spell as a second level spell once with this trait and regain the ability to do so when you finish a long rest. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
