The Dragon Teeth

"Unrivaled by any other, the Dragon Teeth are six swords of exquisite craftsmanship."
The Dragon Teeth, or Teeth of the Dragon, are a legendary set of weapons spread across Thedas. Most of the Teeth have been lost to time. As a result, very little is known about them. Though most take the name for granted, it's not even clear if they're truly dragon teeth — even if it seems like a compelling theory.

Known Literature

"Prior to this meeting, I had been doubtful that the Dragon Teeth had even existed. Fanciful tales, I had assumed.   A few years back, a fellow academic from Dairsmuid came to me with boundless knowledge on this elusive subject and its history. Over a traditional fish dinner, she brought up these Dragon Teeth. I scoffed, but she insisted; little did I realize what I had walked into. The existence of the Dragon Teeth, from this moment forward, became unquestionable to me.   She revealed inarguable evidence that she had indeed met, perhaps even more than knew, a wielder of one of these mythical weapons. Furthermore, she divulged research determining that when the Dragon Teeth are brought to the same place they feed off each other's power. Regardless of if they're brought as allies or foes, the world pays the price. For this reason, their wielders hide their existence.   Between the two of us, over a dozen hypotheses were thrown around regarding their origin. It is my staunch belief that they were crafted from the hands of the Tevinters, with whatever strange powers they wielded before their disappearance. Further in this chapter I detail more of my accrued information.   Oh, and one note to the wise: If you found yourself in a situation where more than one of the Teeth are present. Flee. The wielder she knew had claimed to have only ever seen three teeth in the same place at the same time, and Thedas had changed drastically because of it. In what ways, I think it's best we do not know."

The Teeth

The Teeth are the subject of these legends. Ferdinand Genitivi laid out the existence of these six blades as the Dragon Teeth, if his source is to be believed.

Rigel is a longsword which subtly infleuences the world to follow in the beliefs and visions of the future that its wielder holds. Reality is theirs in the making, and those that oppose Rigel fight against destiny.   After convincing an enemy of his to relinquish it, the tooth was taken into possession by Jeeves Tarrington during the Ferelden Civil War. While in his possession, he used it to fate enemies to die and to interpose his will in the life-death struggle all creatures one day face. Legends go so far as to suggest he created a new body for Lucia Campagna, after her's was destroyed in battle.   It's whereabouts are unknown, considering his death was a private affair that occurred shortly after the war.

Arcturus — Sword of Stars

According to Ferdinand Genitivi's book, the woman who came to see him claimed that the wielder she knew wielded this blade.

Gemini — Sword of Truth

Origin is a longsword which has transcended time. It was forged with the principle notion of warding off the darkness, and knowing that the sun will always rise again soon. Only the most righteous can wield it.   Previously in possession of the Dragon Knights, it's ownership was passed down to Trigon the Gold. An inkling of its power was shown during the events of the Ferelden Civil War, when the Arishok led a brutal attack on the city of Denerim.   While hundreds — if not thousands — were being slaughtered by qunari soldiers, Trigon the Gold rode into open battle against the Arishok. Equally matched, they ended up killing each other, but not before Trigon the Gold channeled the blade's power. The attacking qunari were annihilated by light, the dying Fereldens were healed of their wounds, and the sick were healed even multiple days of travel away.   Upon doing so, Trigon the Gold died and Origin disappeared from his possession.

Narada — Sword of Darkness

"I've been hearing about your little exploits in my city. You've been causing quite a stir."

Scorpius — Sword of Lies

Scoripus is a secret, forgotten seventh tooth: a dagger. It challenges the notion of reality. So long as Scorpius remains, the concept is fruitless and the world is not as it seems. Wielders should beware, as the Sword of Lies will betray them in their darkest hour.   During the era of Val Royeaux's Guild War, the Master of Jackals was hunting for this blade. His search brought him to the city and into the company of House Amell. Working together, they found it in possession of Guildmaster Vaquelin du Savbois. After many struggles and hurdles, they were eventually able to convince the guildmaster to hand the weapon over.   After obtaining it, the Master of Jackals used it to try and "rewrite" the death of his wife. The success, or even his whereabouts, remain a mystery.
