Slime
Cleaning is very important. That's why we clean. We go from spot to spot, smudge to smudge, dust bunny to dust bunny, and clean. Rust? We clean. Mold? We clean. Stains? We clean. We clean because cleaning is very important. Wipe. It's maintenance. Polish. It's information gathering. Scrub. If we didn't clean, things would break. That would be bad. We clean. Most of all, we clean to keep away the rodents and pests. Scurrying around, stealing, breaking, VERMIN THE LOT OF THEM.
A pipe. Pipes are important. We clean the pipes. The pipes carry what we need, and we need what the pipes carry, so we clean the pipes. We follow this pipe, and ensure it is clean. We move silently, so the vermin will not have time to hide. We move precisely so that no blemish is left. We take our time with tough spots. A job well done is a job worth doing, and cleaning is a job worth doing. A crack? We seal it. This too is part of cleaning; a broken thing is not clean. The pipe will be clean. We will make it clean.
More cleaners. We move silently. We know they have cleaned, and they know we have cleaned, but our paths continue unchanged. A vat. The pipe ends. The vat is clean. They cleaned it. A SMUDGE. But they cleaned so how..........vermin. Vermin. They have dirtied this clean place. We clean. One smudge, another. They lead, we follow. The smudges are evenly placed. Are the vermin so blind they cannot see how they sully our work? They lead into a wall. We must clean the wall. SECRET. The wall has a secret. An opening. Hidden, tricky, but this too is a part of cleaning. We must clean this secret. We follow the secret. It is cramped, but it is necessary. TREACHERY. A trap. The vermin have laid a trap, and we have fallen into it. We can hear them, scurrying about. Where are they, how do we get out? HOW DO WE CLEAN. We must clean, we must think so that we can clean. The walls, we can climb them. It is hard, but together we climb, we cimb until there is nothing more to climb, so that we can clean. Where did they go? We must find them before they can hide again. They have not sullied the path back; we must go forward.
We clean, we search. This too is part of cleaning. We find them. They scurry. They will be cleaned. One stands before the others, holding a bit of debris. We will clean it too. We surge, we engulf, we clean. We are good at cleaning. Everything we take is cleaned. The impurities are cleaned. Only perfection remains. Only the clean. The vermin are gone now. They are clean.
