The Scourge

The Scourge is an extremely infamous disease which was first discovered when The Seven Giant Spider Queens first emerged from the depths of the earth. The Scourge places its host under the complete and utter telepathic control of the Seven Spider Queens, and has no cure as of now, however, the disease is luckily thought to be completely extinct when all but one of The Spider Queens were vanquished. The Scourge is the actual cause for Necrotus ever existing, as all of Algorians in that region were under the control of The Spider Queens, and rebelled against the Finite Races. However, after The War of The Spider Queens, all the inhabitants of Necrotus luckily returned back to normal, and The Scourge has never revealed itself since. Back when The Scourge was not extinct, it was considered the worst of bad omens. Any with the Scourge were immediately cast out of their home with no questions asked, as there seemed to be no cure at that time.

Transmission & Vectors

The Scourge seemed to spread through telepathic manipulation by The Spider Queens or their giant spider commanders. If the attack was strong enough and the host's mind was weak enough, the Scourge was transmitted immediately and completely to them, and there was no saving them.

Causes

The Only known cause of The Scourge is telepathic exposure to a Spider Queen or giant spider commander.

Symptoms

The most common symptom is extreme light sensitivity, so much that the host can not stand in sunlight without shielding their eyes. Other reported symptoms are a persistent cough and over agitation and aggression.

Treatment

There is no known treatment to The Scourge other than to kill every single Spider Queen and giant spider commander in a 100 mile radius of the host, and as there are no more cases of The Scourge, no research into a cure can be done.
