The Deck of Many Things

The Deck of Many Things is a magical item that is shrouded in mystery. Fabled throughout all of the Wraith Globe for its ability to cause absolute chaos, this ancient relic's origin is completely unknown. It is rumored that it was created by one of the late Lords, but none of this is known for certain. there are a total of 35 cards in this deck of strange playing cards, each having a different outcome and purpose. At least 14 of the 35 playing cards must be assembled before drawing a card (if this is not followed, nothing happens when a card is drawn). Many of the cards of this deck haven't been seen in thousands of years by the Finite Races, and there is one card that has never been found altogether. Algos, throughout its history, has managed to document each of a total of 20 cards in a secret crypt beneath The Irly Palace in Vuekson, The Capital of Algos :

The Fates

The card has the ability to change the past, present, or future, but the drawer and all of their companions are transported one week before the event to be changed and they must change it.  

Throne

You suddenly gain rightful ownership of a keep somewhere in the Material Plane of The Wraith Globe. However, this keep is overrun with monsters, so it must be cleared first.  

Rogue

An NPC of the GM's choice becomes hostile to the drawer without them knowing it. Nothing less than a wish spell will revert this effect on the NPC.  

Knight

You gain the servitude and apprenticeship of a fourth level fighter which appear within thirty feet of the drawer. This warrior is convinced that the fates have drawn the two of you together for an important reason.  

Void

The drawer has a sudden vision of the distant and alien Far Realm. After this vision, the drawer survives to have a drive to find The Far Realm  

Vision

The Drawer has a sudden vision of a well kept secret in a random plane of existence. Only a wish spell can guard from this type of surveillance.  

Talons

An evil duplicate of the drawer appears in a random area within 10 miles of the original. This shadow can not exit this 10 mile radius. This shadow wreaks havoc, wrecking the reputation of the original. The only two methods to kill this duplicate is either by a wish spell or the original going head to head in an one on one duel with the shadow and winning. Attacks made by any creature other than the original do no damage to the duplicate.  

Favor

A celestial force reaches out to the drawer and their companions, giving them a quest which they can complete on behalf of this being. If the party completes the quest, the being can answer one question of the drawer's to the best of that celestial being's ability.   More cards coming soon...
