Lasker's Goblet

Lasker's Goblet is an exotic plant cherished by mages, warlocks, and apothecaries. Visually, the plant has a group of stems protruding from the ground. These stems then support a pitcher like structure above them. This "Goblet", as it is commonly called, absorbed magical residue from spells, magical items, and other magical effects. This residue builds up within the goblet in liquid form, then is absorbed by the plant as nutrients. The importance of Lasker's Goblet to mages, warlocks, and apothecaries is the magical residue found within. This liquid is the primary component that makes many magical items and potions magical. This residue can also be removed from the goblet without harming the plant, so many famous and prominent Apothecaries, warlocks, and mages will have acres of field devoted to this one plant, and the trade for this plant is almost always booming, especially in The Order of Wizardry and Necrotus, the two primary Magi-nations of the Wraith Globe.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Lasker's Goblet anatomy is mostly normal until you reach the goblet itself. After a spell is used and the corresponding rune dissipates, the magical power used to create the spell dissipates with it, scattering into the air. The special tissue that makes up the goblet of Lasker's Goblet absorbs this residue into the goblet and turns it into a liquid form so that the Lasker's Goblet can absorb the residue as nutrients.

Genetics and Reproduction

The Goblet most commonly reproduces sexually with other Goblets, but can produce asexually if needed.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Goblet can sense the consistency of magical residue in the air around, and can sense if a spell is cast in its vicinity.
Conservation Status
This species is widespread as a domesticated plant in both Necrotus and The Order of Wizardry , so there are currently no protection measures being taken, as the plant is prospering in those two nations.
