Session 70 - The Underground Ale Road
Over the next month, the party organises their base, and begins their own criminal enterprise to assist in surviving in the underworld of Ardenholt. Each of the members spends the month on different activities:
- Brenlazar spends the month doing the heavy lifting, finding materials, digging and building. He establishes a robust base in the location in the sewers, with bedrooms, a kitchen, furniture and several escape routes built in.
- Dorax, being a creature of the wilds, spends his time mapping the sewers, finding all the routes above ground and areas to avoid. He also locates a route out in to the forest outside the city, known as the King's Wood. However, this pathway is dangerously close to a lair of creatures that many thought were a myth: The Rat-folk of Ardenholt.
- Gildar keeps himself occupied with a number of tasks: selling items, smithing, relaxing. But he also seeks out a Dwarvish Community within Ardenholt. He finds one that is organised by the Ambassadors of Rhyk-Durgen, the Dwarvish Kingdom, and is soon welcomed amongst the members.
- Jaxxon and Kravok are trusted with setting up a business enture for the group, with Jaxxon being the brains and Kravok being the face. Several people are hired, all from the dregs of society, and contracts are drawn up with a few taverns in the area. Aiding in the smuggling of goods to avoid import taxes, The Underground Ale Road is set up.
- Zan spends a lot of his time making contacts within the Church, and is a welcome face amongst a small community in The Exalted Sanctuary, the large monastery next to Ardenholt Cathedral.
