Session 41 - The Silver Bay Caverns

A vast network of caverns exist under Silver Bay, and there is evidence that something strange is lurking within. The group find more of the strange, undead creatures - their bodies bloated and covered in a blue rotting disease.

Fighting their way through, the group navigates traps, puzzles and a large pit. They narrowly escape becoming food for giant lobster-like creatures named Chuul. Eventually, they find a large chamber filled with what appears to be Cultists. At the head, they see the missing girl about to be sacrificed!

The fight starts with Jaxxon casting a Fireball, onbliterating most of the robed figures. Zombies are summoned, blades are sharpened, and Dorax' pet snake is unfortunately killed. Just as the Heroes think they've won, the young girl is killed, the ritual complete.

Out of the waters in the centre of the cavern, a creature with white-transluscent skin emerges. With its lower half a mass of writhing tentacles, and slimy skin, it attacks. The fight ends quickly, but it seems whatever ritual that took place has completed.

Jaxxon finds a mesterious spellbook, and the group investigates. They find that this was indeed the Children of the Everliving, the same Cult that Xaphia leads and caused issues in Lighthaven. Links are made to The Drowned Goddess, who also has ties to an otherwordly entity - Algulloth.
