The Dividing Exodus

Disaster / Destruction

Second Age 224

The Dividing Exodus began in Second Age 224, after Lord Morrar of the Elven Council destroyed one of the four towers protecting the Old Elves from the demonic forces dwelling in the destroyed continent of Arkhosia. It led to the split of the Old Elves into the Sadheri (Race) and the Silatheri, who fled to the west and east respectively.

After the fall of the Old Arkhosian Empire, the Elven Council decided to construct four towers which would form a shield, protecting their lands from the demonic forces that had thwarted the Arkhosians. This magical barrier stood for many years, until the Elves were betrayed by one of their own, Lord Morrar.   Lord Morrar had entered into a pact with the demons and destroyed the tower situated on Lonely Rock. With one of the towers destroyed, the seal was broken. Lord Errell was sent to kill Lord Morrar and restore the tower, but it was too late. The Ysillian continent was overrun by foul demons, and entire cities burned in the ensuing flames.   It was decided that the Elves would have to flee Ysillia, to avoid their destruction. Those living on the western half of the continent fled to Sadhera (Continent), while those living on the eastern side fled to Osteria. This split would go on to form the Sadheri and the Silatheri.   The Dividing Exodus is still remembered by some Elves alive today, and it is part of the reason for both the Sadheri and Silatheri hatred for demons and other creatures of the Abyss.
