Abens Historical Society
Founded in 243 by Elder Sage Serosin Bluefield, the Abens Historical Society is a scientific institute dedicated to cataloguing and documenting the history of The Aeliph Sea. Projects include preserving historical documents of the past and making sure that present historical events are well documented for future considerations. The Historical Society is also home to the largest library in Abens and a thriving scholarly branch. Scholars from the institute are vigorous in their cataloging of events, doing their utmost to uphold an unbiased view of events as they occur as they document their research.
The library is an interesting branch of the society with traditions; if one wishes to access the library they must first provide it with either a book it does not yet contain, or a personal statement. The latter option is preferable to the kind of people that come visit the library, as they usually have a tale or two that are of interest to the researchers of the society. Statement givers are placed under a zone of truth to make sure that their words are true, for otherwise they might be giving falsehoods in exchange for knowledge, which simply would not do.
