Tabaxi

Written by Lahtori

Basic Information

Anatomy

Tabaxi stand the same height and build as most Humans, yet are differentiated by their feline features. All Tabaxi are covered in a short coat of fine hair, have wide feline eyes, pointed ears, and an expressive tail. They also have retractable claws instead of nails at the end of their fingers and on their padded toes.

Growth Rate & Stages

Tabaxi grow and age the same rate as Humans do, living on average the same as Humans.

Ecology and Habitats

Each Tabaxi tribe live in vastly different habitats, ranging from sandy deserts to snowy mountains.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Tabaxi are omnivores, eating both plant life and other animals.

Additional Information

Social Structure

Each Tabaxi tribe produces something that the entire nation needs. Each tribe also has an elected official that attends court when summoned. At the highest point of their social structure is a monarch, a descendant of the very first Cathern king.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Tabaxi are naturally perceptive and stealthy.

Civilization and Culture

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

While the Tabaxi do not have laws against interspecies relations and do frequently sponsor other races, these relations are purely for trade and peace-keeping purposes. Tabaxi who wish to go further with a relation with another non-Tabaxi usually opt to leave Catthorn Ridge and begin life anew elsewhere. Presently, Tabaxi have kept marital relations intratribal, stemming from a tradition whose origin has been lost with time.
