Brightness Jasnah Kholin (a.k.a. The Heretic)
Jasnah Kholin is Dalinar Kholin's niece, and the eldest child of the later Gavilar Kholin. Incredibly smart, she is known for her devotion towards science and scholarly pursuits. While she may be famous for her pursuit of knowledge, she's even more infamously known for being labelled a heretic by the Vorin church. According to the rumor mill, close to 10 years ago Jasnah directly opposed the church, and denounced their teachings as nothing more than charlatans who provide little more for the world than empty prayers, and take credit while miracle like events supernatural events. After declaring herself an atheist, she was branded a heretic by the church, a title which has done little to stop her scholarly pursuits.
