Dwarf

Dwarves are stout; renowned across the realms as both cunning tricksters and stalwart and honorable defenders. Dwarven men grow thick beards, which are often used as a symbol of status, but otherwise Dwarves resemble humans with a couple notable exceptions: they are, on average, two feet shorter than humans, and much more muscular and durable. Dwarves are rarely found in the Plains of Othe, preferring their ancestral homes in the Domasht Mountains.   Although native to Othenar, and not to Halor, the Dwarves have a tendency to wander; their natural hardiness has predisposed them to exploration and experimentation, leading them to pioneer many of the means of travel that have interlocked the continents of Othe.   As a result, while Dwarves are generally a rare sight across the continent of Halor, they are present there, and many have risen to key postings in the Halori Empire, to the point that many people assume that a Dwarf in Halor has a tie to the Empire.
