Griffons

These regal and majestic beasts are relatively intelligent compared to most animals, and can occasionally be used as mounts, particularly among nobles in the High Kingdom of Tillain, some of who have made their fortunes breeding Griffon mounts. They are considered notoriously difficult to tame and expensive to keep, and are considered a very prestigious status symbol. However, even when tamed they are still dangerous, and ones encountered in the wild have meant the end of many people unfortunate enough to come across them.
