Council of I'lera

The law making body of The Kingdom of I'lera. Seats are held by several nobles of the major city-states and the royal throne.

Structure

There are 8 seats on the council, each having equal say in the creation and ratifying of laws and doctrines. Each seat has a committee of people behind them that deals with most of the work load including writing proposals, editing documents, and researching events prescribed to the councilman/councilwoman's position. The current seats are as follows:

Public Agenda

The goal of the council is to decide on laws that govern the interactions between the various territories of I'lera and how their citizens should behave. Being a fairly diverse culture and having lots of distance between places, the council leaves minor law-making to the individual territories and instead focuses on making large decisions. They also control the flow of money from government and military assets.

History

Since the start of the kingdom, the council has been in place to form a cohesive bond between the territories and peoples of the kingdom. Though is has seen its fair share of turmoil and issues, the people of I'lera put a lot of trust in the council's decisions.
