Yether the Keen

Yether is an older human woman of 58. She stands only 5'4" and about 190 pounds of plump devotion. She has shockingly white hair and streaks of silver, and her eyes are the blue of the sky on a sunny summer day.

She was assigned to this temple in Hommlet in 589 CY from Verbobonc. She's pleased that her congregation has been steadily growing since she arrived and has even begun sending requests to the hierarchy in Verbobonc for money to fund the temple's expansion and for extra clerical staff to tend to the people's needs. She is a kind woman if a bit serious, urging members of her faithful to sponsor town events and help those in need, because the Sun Shines on us All. She herself has been known to donate her own scrolls to members of his faith who are undertaking some task that defeats the forces of evil and darkness.

Yether was not present for the last rise of Elemental Evil in the area. However, her predecessor's notes and an introductory interview with Canoness Y'dey has lead her to be fairly well familiar with the events surrounding this last threat to Hommlet's safety.

She stands at 5'4", with a plump figure that speaks of a life of plenty. She dons her resilient chain mail and clutches a sturdy, well-used mace.

Personal history

Raised in a humble farming village, Yether felt the call of Pelor from a young age. Witnessing the hardships of those around her, she vowed to spread the sun's warmth through acts of kindness and compassion. In her middle years, she was stationed at a small chapel where she dedicated herself tirelessly to her congregation. Her life's work became intertwined with Hommlet's growth, and she sees each soul's enlightenment as another step toward a world bathed in Pelor's light. She came to Hommlet with a heart full of hope and since then her mission has been to expand the reach of her temple and in turn, Pelor's guidance.

She worries that failing to expand the temple would signify a decline in faith, and she fears the dark both metaphorically and literally.

Intellectual Characteristics

Yether is a paragon of devoutness and sincerity. She is deeply caring and nurturing but maintains a stern seriousness about her faith. Her demeanor is one that commands respect while still being approachable.
