At its core, The White Flame embodies the paradoxical essence of life and death, inflicting devastating harm upon foes while simultaneously granting divine healing to allies. The flames surge forth with an ethereal intensity, scorching all in their path with searing brilliance.
Effect
The White Flame spell manifests the following effects:
Purifying Fire: The flames of The White Flame possess a dual nature, simultaneously embodying the essence of both life and death. Creatures hostile to the caster within the radius of the spell must make a Constitution saving throw or suffer 12d10 radiant damage and 12d10 necrotic damage. Creatures that fail their saving throw are also blinded until the end of their next turn. Creatures that succeed their saving throw take half damage and are not blinded.
Healing Radiance: Allies within the radius of the spell are bathed in the rejuvenating light of The White Flame. At the start of each of their turns, they regain hit points equal to 1d10 + the caster's spellcasting ability modifier. Additionally, any conditions afflicting them, such as blindness, deafness, or diseases, are cured.
Life and Death Convergence: The White Flame acts as a conduit between the realms of life and death, blurring the boundaries between the two. Any dead creature within the radius of the spell that has been deceased for no longer than 1 minute can be restored to life as if by the True Resurrection spell, provided that the creature's soul is free and willing to return.
Undying Flames: The flames of are relentless and inexorable, burning with a divine intensity that defies all attempts to extinguish them. The spell cannot be dispelled by magical means, and attempts to snuff out the flames with mundane methods prove futile.
Divine Protection: The caster and their allies within the radius of the spell are granted divine protection against harmful effects and hostile creatures. They gain advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects, and they are immune to being charmed, frightened, or possessed.
At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 10th level or higher, the damage dealt by The White Flame increases by 2d10 for each slot level above 9th. Additionally, the radius of the spell's area of effect increases by 10 feet for each spell slot level above 9th.
