The Blackwood Bow

This longbow is made of darkwood that appears to be charred as if freshly pulled from a fire. Heat emanates from within its haft and increases with each projectile fired ultimately beginning to damage the wielder for within this bow resides Ra, an efreeti who has been trapped inside for centuries. It only seeks to use its power to destroy and burn the world as it can no longer return the elemental plane of fire. Recently, Ra has been both released and defeated sending him back to the plane of fire and releasing the bow from his hatred.

Flaming Arrows

Each arrow strung and shot by the bow turns into a flaming missile upon its release, causing an additional 1d6 fire damage to the target. Each arrow is consumed upon firing and cannot be retrieved.

Flaming Burst

Upon scoring a critical hit (x3 base damage) upon a target. the arrow explodes dealing an extra 2d10 points of fire damage to all creatures within 5' of the target.

Magical Properties

The bow gives a +2 bonus to strike and damage to the wielder and arrows fired are considered magical for wounding ability.
