This blue and silver ring allows the wearing to Blink, per the spell, into the Shadowfell. While in the Shadowfell however, the wearer is exposed to the environment.

The wearer gains a +3 bonus to AC and saving throws while wearing this ring.

The bearer gains a +3 to Intelligence (Arcana) checks whether or not they had previously known the skill. If the wearer rolls a 1-5 of the die for the check, they are immediately stricken with 1d10 psychic damage as they come to grips with forbidden knowledge.
