With his loyal crew and formidable ship, the Storm's Fury, he plundered merchant vessels and rival pirates with ruthless efficiency, amassing a vast hoard of treasure and earning a fearsome reputation as the terror of the high seas.
But Captain Stormblade's lust for power and wealth knew no bounds, and he soon grew reckless and arrogant in his pursuit of dominance. In a fateful encounter with a rival pirate captain, he met his match in a fierce battle that ended in disaster. Mortally wounded and facing defeat, Captain Stormblade made a desperate pact with dark forces from the depths of the sea, trading his soul for immortality and power beyond imagining.
Bound by the curse of undeath, Captain Stormblade was reborn as Grim Grin, the undead pirate king, and his ship, the Storm's Fury, was transformed into The Grinning Galleon, a vessel of nightmares that haunted the Sea of Drakes. With his newfound powers and insatiable thirst for revenge, Grim Grin set forth to wreak havoc upon the seas, his crew of spectral sailors at his command.
