Ethard the Earthbound (Eth-hard)

Ethard, the master of the earth element, was known for not only his scented thurible and chain of which never left his side; but also his cloven hooves which distracted many students the first time they met. Speaking slowly, softly and with much patience, he was the voice of reason among the famous five. Passing just before Corloong the Weightless, he had warned her of his observations of Dai-Gon. Buried without headstone, he finally became one with his spiritual focus.

Appearing rarely in visions or monastic meditations, Ethard continues to provide guidance and insight to the students of the garden.

Personal history

Ethard was born into a reclusive fir-bolg tribe deeply connected to the forests of the Feywild. His birth coincided with the blooming of the once-a-century Moonlit Orchids, a sign that marked his destiny as a guardian of the balance between nature and magic. He delved into his studies with fervor, devoting himself to the roles of a protector and a sage. As his understanding grew, so did his reputation, and he became a respected figure both within and outside his tribe. Nonetheless, despite his accomplishments, he holds a sense of restlessness, a yearning to explore beyond the Feywild and learn from the myriad expressions of life and magic across the planes.

This led to his involvment with the Garden of Silent Whispers and his life long friends.

Intellectual Characteristics

Ethard is a curious and devoted scholar, always eager to learn and share his knowledge. He speaks with quiet eloquence and reverence about the natural world and the arcane arts, always seeking to find the balance between the two.
