Charnel House of Maglubiyet

Once, in the darkened halls of the infamous Temple of Elemental Evil, an event occurred that would echo through the planes and draw the ire of a vengeful god. The mischievous kender, known for his light-hearted antics and penchant for trouble, found himself within the unhallowed walls of the temple dedicated to the malevolent forces that sought chaos and destruction.   Hailing from the whimsical lands of Krynn, kenders were known for their insatiable curiosity and boundless energy, often getting into trouble with little regard for consequences. This kender’s journey had led him to the Temple of Elemental Evil, a place where dark forces converged, and the malevolent eyes of Maglubiyet, the god of goblins and warfare, watched with unyielding scrutiny.   The kender's arrival in the temple was marked by a series of pranks and light-hearted escapades, much to the chagrin of the temple's inhabitants. Pippin explored the desecrated chambers with the audacity characteristic of his kind, oblivious to the ancient and malevolent powers that resided within the very stones of the temple.   It was during a moment of mischievous glee that Pippin found himself within the inner sanctum of the temple, standing before the sinister altar of Maglubiyet. Unbeknownst to him, the god's presence lingered in the shadows, observing the intruder with a growing sense of disdain.   In a moment of reckless abandon, fueled by the whimsical nature of kenders, Pippin decided to relieve himself upon the sacred altar. The echoes of his laughter reverberated through the unholy halls, and the desecration of the altar did not go unnoticed. Maglubiyet, the Goblin Deity, felt the audacious act as a direct affront to his divine authority.   The god's wrath stirred, and a seething rage emanated from the depths of the Abyss. Maglubiyet, known for his short temper and merciless demeanor, could not tolerate such insolence. The divine wrath surged through the temple, causing the very walls to tremble.   As the kender continued his carefree antics, he remained blissfully unaware of the god's gathering fury. Maglubiyet, in a fit of divine rage, decided to unleash a punishment that would serve as both retribution and a warning to all who dared defy him. Drawing upon his divine power, the god forged a creature of nightmarish proportions—the Charnel House of Maglubiyet.   The Charnel House, a fiendish aberration, emerged from the shadows of the Abyss, its form ever-shifting and grotesque. It embodied the wrath of Maglubiyet, a living manifestation of divine anger and retribution. The god imbued the creature with the ability to track down those who had truly upset him and deliver a punishment befitting their transgressions.   Maglubiyet's divine influence extended into the very essence of the Charnel House. Its purpose was clear—to seek out and destroy the insolent, the disrespectful, and those who dared to defile the sanctity of the temple and its malevolent god. The kender's irreverent act had birthed a monster that would become a relentless enforcer of divine justice.   As the Charnel House materialized within the Temple of Elemental Evil, the very air crackled with an ominous energy. The kender, still unaware of the brewing storm, continued his antics, oblivious to the malevolent force that had been unleashed in response to his sacrilege.   The Charnel House, guided by the divine will of Maglubiyet, began its relentless pursuit of the kender. Its ever-changing form allowed it to navigate the twisting corridors of the temple, leaving a trail of corrupted energy in its wake. It burst forth from the temple pursuing a direct path to its target.   Pippin's carefree laughter turned to unease as he sensed a malevolent presence drawing near. The Charnel House, a nightmarish embodiment of divine wrath, emerged from the shadows, its grotesque form reflecting the horror that Maglubiyet felt at the kender's disrespect.   A battle ensued within the darkened halls of the temple—a battle between the audacious kender, now in the form of a hobgoblin, his allies and the vengeful Charnel House. Although temporarily defeated, the Charnel House began to form once again within the Temple of Elemental Evil to begin its mission.
Known Abilities:

Shape-shifting Horror: The Charnel House can mimic the forms of creatures it encounters, adopting their abilities and appearances to blend seamlessly into its surroundings.   Abyssal Purgation: Upon capturing its target, the Charnel House subjects them to a nightmarish purgatory within its ever-changing interior, where the victim's deepest fears manifest.   Maglubiyet's Wrath: The creature wields chaotic and destructive powers granted by its divine creator, unleashing devastating spells and curses upon those who have drawn the ire of Maglubiyet.
