Ath Tel' ashen ya

Specially formed for the Walkers of the Ashen Path, this Elvish Scimitar has but one purpose; to destroy the vampire Gulthias.

History

Formed of the famous silver Mithril, this elvish scimitar has been delicately formed into a blade with the handle formed from the shed horn of an ancient stagtaur of the feywild. Formed as part of a group of five weapons, this scimitar was created for the group's thief Zedarah.
Tears of the Crocodile
Wielders of the blade are immune to any vampire's charm abilities.
Singular Purpose
Ath Tel' ashen ya's singular purpose is to strike down all vampires. Ath Tel' ashen ya communicates thru emotions and feelings rather than speech. It can perceive in normal sight within 30' and sees itself a defender of life by cutting out the infection before is can spread. To this end, if the bearer refuses to immediately attack a vampire the sword senses, it will attempt to force the bearer to comply. If the item attempts to take control of its wielder, the wielder must make a Charisma Saving Throw, with a DC 12. On a failed save, the wielder will immediately attack and continue to attack all vampires in sight. If the wielder takes damage, he can repeat the Saving Throw, ending the effect on a success. Whether the attempt to control its user succeeds or fails, the item can’t use this power again until the next dawn.
