Often referred to as "Captain Alara" due to her leadership role. (a.k.a. "Blaze" because of her fiery personality and hair color.)

Alara Gearspark is a petite gnome with bright blue eyes and short, silver hair that often stands on end as if statically charged. She wears practical robes adorned with pockets and pouches for storing components and scrolls. Her quarterstaff, etched with arcane runes, is never far from her reach, serving both as a focus for her spells and a walking stick for her travels. Alara's inquisitive nature is evident in her constantly observing gaze, always looking for new discoveries and opportunities to further her understanding of the arcane.

Alara Gearspark was born in the bustling city of Syom'skit'ngthefl, nestled amidst the arid sands of Gallidion. From a young age, Alara showed a remarkable affinity for magic and a keen intellect that surpassed her peers. Growing up in a city teeming with artisans and scholars, she was exposed to a wealth of knowledge and inspiration that fueled her thirst for learning and discovery.
Recognizing her potential, Alara was taken under the wing of Master Quicksilver, a renowned wizard and sage who saw promise in the young gnome. Under his guidance, she delved into the arcane arts with fervor, mastering spells and unlocking the secrets of the universe. With each passing day, Alara's magical abilities flourished, her mind expanding to grasp the complexities of spellcasting and the manipulation of magical energies.
As Alara reached adulthood, she yearned to explore the world beyond the confines of Syom'skit'ngthefl and put her newfound skills to the test. Joining an expedition led by Captain Thaddeus Gearspark, a seasoned adventurer and hero of the city, she embarked on a journey into the unknown, eager to uncover ancient secrets and unravel the mysteries of the world. It was during these adventures that she came upon the Sphinx, Nanet. She has been training in secret with Nanet and learning its powers of hieroglyph while teaching it additional mysteries and knowledge she is privvy too. She has yet to release this information to the rest of her team, more so because she is afraid the city would not accept the relationship and order its destruction.
