Overview

Galliard of Rat City Pack, Black Fury, frontman of hardcore punk band Lupus and original member of Friends Stand United, Joey Harsh (deed name Hatebreaker) was born in Boston, Massachusetts in the late 1960s.
Coming from a family line of blue collar union workers and disillusioned with the conservative agenda of the US under Reagan, Joey fell in with the local anti-fascist and anti-establishment punk scene as early as high school. Working various jobs at venues and moving in and out of different bands, he was largely directionless until getting involved with anti-racist Boston street gang FSU, during which time he experienced his First Change when ambushed by a group of neo-Nazis intent on beating him for being gay.
Following the skinhead slaughter, he was sought out by members of the Rat City Pack (named for the rodent problem on the streets of Allston and an ironic punk statement) with whom he eventually formed Lupus, a hardcore punk band consisting entirely of Garou.
In the late 1980s, he was recruited as part of a covert team of Garou to avert an assassination attempt on a political figure in Ohio.
Later in life, Joey continued to tour with his band, once playing a set at the Palisade Caern during a grand moot hosted by the Omen.
