The Great Incursion

800 years ago, the Great Incursion ripped the world of Coriss apart, changing the very fabric of existence of this realm as we know it. Portals ripped themselves into existence all across the land, releasing the horrors of the Chaos Realm. All history and technology before this time was lost, and the world was plunged into a dark age. To this day, incursions will open up across the land, merging openings to other realms. This has made traveling between cities difficult.
