HR - Overview

Aurora went from a normal, healthy lady to an Infected after a cataclysmic Originium hailstorm. In the aftermath, a fifth of the people in the area were infected. According to our rescue teams' estimates, the number was below the expected minimum of seventy-five percent. Coupled with Aurora's and Tuye's state of infection, they very likely stood outermost, bracing their defensive structures, and protecting the others. In the aftermath of the event, many survivors joined the Pillar of Dawn or Rhine Labs for treatment and employment.
Oripathy is a bitter pill to swallow, but Aurora has been surprisingly resilient. She was able to come to Pillar of Dawn immediately for treatment. As we treated her she did not rest and wanted to put her skills to use. She set out to join our Engineering Department.
Aurora graduated from the Ironforge Institute in Columbia, on a grant from the Silverash family, specializing in extreme weather defense engineering. She has also built her own, customized armaments.
Utilizing her skills, she sketched out plans for a magic shield piledriver, designed for frontline combat. Her custom shield can withstand a Catastrophic battering of medium intensity and is resistant to cracking in ultra-low temperature environments. The surface has an additional custom-made, lab-developed, anti-magic insulative coating. This ensures her shield and equipment can still operate in magic-dense areas.
After witnessing Aurora's modification of her equipment, we very much admired her. She doesn't just have a firm knowledge of engineering and ingenuity for planning, but a formidable and hopeful heart on top of it.
After spending a month getting treatment with us and making prototypes, she officially began work, and little by little turned this originally northern exploration gear into a weapon of remarkable performance. Soon after, she took part in an immediate evaluation and became a deployed Resever Operator. It is no wonder people believe Aurora has the power to become an ideal Operator. That is true, but they would be missing a major part of who she is. All throughout, she never hesitated and never rested, pretending as if her illness didn't affect her in the slightest. But in truth, her work habits are a way of escaping her current situation and sickness.
When a healthy, robust person catches Oripathy in a sudden accident, and even if they aren't discouraged by such a radical change, they often require a period of time to adjust their mentality, adapting to a whole new life often times comes very slowly and bitterly.
While not bitter, she is still adjusting to her new life and, like many people living abroad, she misses her family dearly. Aurora misses her brother and father greatly, writing to them often. She is now very far from school and all of her friends. Even now, she doesn't know when she has to return to Kjerag to work, if they will still have her, for the Silverash family. This mental stress can lead to minor breakdowns.
Her spacey, airheaded, blunt, and clingy nature makes it difficult for her to make new friends. She struggles to explain herself or her ideas and is prone to acting on impulse, which can often drive non-Pillar of Dawn members away from her. Additionally, she is prone to overworking, overeating, or undereating if left unchecked. She often hides the pain from her infection, trying not to worry other people, and sometimes forgets her treatment plan. It is no wonder she wants to see an aurora.
In Kjerag legend, the rainbow aurora signifies the divine's awakening. Because of this, like many Kjerag children, Aurora looked forward to seeing her own first aurora. During her time in Kjerag, this wish never became a reality.
The next time Rhine lab's collective operator Magallan goes on an exploration mission in the north icefields, where auroras can be seen every night, we hope to ensure she is ready. For someone as beautiful and kind on both the inside and outside, how could we not also give it our all to ensure that her dream comes true? The Pillar of Dawn is not changing the past, but we will help people forge their dreams into a better future.
