The Obelisk

A sentient, black and green pillar of unknown origin. Next to nothing is known of this structure, only that it has spoken to each member of the Departed only once, and since that time, silence.

A Pillar of Dark

The Obelisk has appeared to the members of the Departed in a dark, outlandish setting seemingly seprate from the material plane. It is always portrayed at the center of a circle encompassed by black and green fog. The Obelisk is cool to the touch, comprised of smooth, deep black stone etched with strange runes.

Mysterious Intentions

The intentions of the strange pillar are unknown to the Departed, other than the fact it has an odd obsession with the concept of loss. For now, it remains an after thought to the party's major goals.
