Gray Ooze

"At first, it appears to be nothing more than a slick patch of moisture on the stone, but then it moves. This formless creature seeps through cracks and clings to surfaces, dissolving anything it touches. Metal rusts, wood disintegrates, and armor weakens in its presence. It does not hunt with eyes or sound, only with patience and hunger."
The gray ooze is an amorphous, semi-translucent creature that blends seamlessly with stone, often lying in wait in caves, ruins, and other subterranean environments. It is a corrosive predator, dissolving organic and inorganic material alike as it moves.

Ferrophage

Its body is highly acidic, capable of breaking down wood, metal, and stone over time. Non-magical weapons and armor that come into contact with a gray ooze rapidly deteriorate unless magically repaired. The creature attacks by extending a pseudopod, delivering potent acid capable of weakening defenses and damaging equipment.

An Unstable Product

Gray oozes are often found in areas affected by chaotic or unstable magic. Some are even created through failed magical experiments. Though they lack intelligence, they display an instinctual cunning, lying in ambush or pursuing weakened prey. Their amorphous nature allows them to squeeze through narrow gaps, making them difficult to contain or escape from.   There is more to learn...
