Book 2 Chapter 7 "ZUKO ALONE"

After leaving his uncle Iroh, Zuko continues his journey through an Earth Kingdom town where a young boy named Lee befriends him. Zuko remembers his childhood, including Azula's chilling and callous behavior towards the death of Iroh's only child Lu Ten and his own perseverance. Finally he recalls his mother's last words and the announcement that his grandfather Azulon died and his mother had suddenly disappeared right before his father Ozai become the new Fire Lord after Azulon’s death. As Zuko defends Lee's family against abusive Earth Kingdom soldiers, he accidentally reveals his identity as the Fire Prince near the end of the battle. The boy, his family, and the townspeople furiously reject him because of it.
