Athrene Lurenne

Athrene is one of the founders of the Taima-Rika (loosely translated as 'the torch (or light) of science') movement that promotes the use of reason, logic, and evidence. They argue that the gods we are taught about are falsehoods, invented to keep the general populous under sufficient control.
Their main base is the city Agano - a vast underground complex, the location of which has somehow been kept secret through the intelligence and ingenuity of its leaders.
The Taima-Rika are engaged in a battle with the religions of the world - not one they started as they are a peaceful movement. But the religions of the world, most notably the House of the Seven Divines, has earmarked the Taima-Rika for destruction as they threaten the status quo they have enjoyed for centuries.
